Using the downloader
How do I copy a link in the Instagram app?
Open the reel or post, tap the Share (paper plane) icon and choose Copy link. On the website you can also copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.
Where are downloaded files saved on iPhone?
Safari saves files to the Files app, in On My iPhone → Downloads (or iCloud Drive → Downloads). Open a video or photo, tap Share and choose Save Video or Save Image to add it to Photos.
Where are downloaded files saved on Android?
Chrome and Samsung Internet save files to the Downloads folder. They also appear in your Gallery or Google Photos under “Download”.
What is the difference between the download options?
HD MP4 is the video with sound. Audio is only the soundtrack as M4A. Photo is a picture at its original size, and Cover image is the still frame Instagram shows before a video plays.
Which Instagram links are supported?
Post links (/p/…), reel links (/reel/… and /reels/…), IGTV links (/tv/…) and share links copied from the app. Stories, highlights and profile links need a login and aren’t supported.
Troubleshooting
It says the post can’t be found. Why?
The account is probably private, the post was deleted or archived, or it is age-restricted. Open the link in a private browser window while logged out; if you can’t see it there, it can’t be downloaded.
The download link stopped working. What should I do?
Instagram download links are temporary. Paste the post link again to get a fresh one.
The video opens in a new tab instead of downloading. How do I save it?
Use the Download button next to the format you want; it always saves a file. If your browser still opens the video, right-click (or long-press) it and choose Save video as….
I see “Too many requests”. What happened?
To keep the service fast for everyone we limit how many links one connection can process per minute. Wait about a minute and try again.
Privacy & legal
Is it legal to download from Instagram?
Saving public posts for personal, offline viewing is generally tolerated, but re-uploading or commercially using someone else’s content without permission can infringe copyright and Instagram’s terms. Always respect the creator’s rights.

Do you track me or sell my data?
We do not sell personal information. Optional analytics only run if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time on the Cookie Preferences page.
How do I report a copyright problem?
Send a notice as described in our DMCA & Copyright Policy. Because we do not host files, the content itself must be removed from Instagram by its rights holder.
